This book gives excellent insight for both men and women. For men, I imagine it’s good to hear that you aren’t struggling alone and there is hope with practical steps on being a better man. For women, it’s helpful to know how men are struggling and what can be done to help. Also for women it’s good to see the pitfalls to avoid as to not get stuck in a relationship that’s not good.I really like this book because Devon is honest with what he’s saying but he’s also being a Christian man about it!

This book completely changed how I view men. So eye opening and real. I have learned so much and I am only half way through the book. I can see this will be a go to book often when I am struggling with behaviors from my husband that make zero sense to me! Thank you Devon your candor was so enlightening.

I have unfortunately personally experienced much of what DeVon Franklin writes about in this excellent primer on dealing with men when they exhibit behaviors that are out of control. Reading his brilliant and compassionate insight into the minds of these types of men gave me a new sense of freedom and comfort. He was able to explain much of the why some men behave so wrecklessly and how it most often has little to do with the women in their lives. He also gives much practical good advice to make life better for all involved. Fantastic book on the subject!!

I’m very supportive of Devon Franklin and would have only done myself a disservice to have not invested my time to reading another great book written by him. The Truth About Men is so transparent and gives you so much insight. DeVon is merely releasing a movement that is so contagious and positive, how could you not connect yourself to a higher vibration of self realization and improvement. I am one of those "fix it" types of mommas -- fix the boo-boos, fix the hurt feelings, fix whatever causes my children any pain. When my son, Ricochet, was diagnosed with ADHD in 2008, at just six years old, I was devastated. There's no "fix" for ADHD. It took me more than two years to figure it out -- there's no magic bullet for ADHD either, and obsessing about finding one can only make things worse. I realized a few years after diagnosis, that there is quite a learning curve to parenting a child with ADHD, and I was finally getting to the long, (mostly) even stretch at the end of it. Parents of children with ADHD are given a diagnosis, handed a prescription, and pushed back out into the world without any guidance, and certainly without instructions. "Call us if the medication doesn't prove beneficial," they might offer. It's my mission to help parents of children with ADHD learn how to get to know their children's needs meaningfully so they can guide them to a happy and success future. I want to use my joy and pain in my learning curve to help others on this journey experience it with more joy and less pain.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!! Can't say enough about this book and the author for writing it. Her willingness to share her experiencewith ADHD is invaluable. My daughter is dealing with ADHD X 3 on a daily basis and I believe this book will definitely help her with the difficulties she faces each day in dealing with her loved ones with ADHD. I actually believe that much of the advice offered in this book can be applied to almost any family dynamic. It truly is a step by step manual for dealing with the complexities of family life. The author has done all of the work for you and all you need to do is implement the plan. The book also includes so much invaluable advice on how to deal with school issues. I cannot praise this book enough! There are many books on this subject out there, and I have bought many of them, but this is really the only one you need.

Wow, I am a good reader in the ADHD feild. Since my son was diagnosed in 2016, I've been reading articles, books, seeking help from specialists, but this book is different. No one, no body gave me the kind of information she did, or I should say no body gets it and tells you the trueth and how to deal with it, how to seek help, what to do, what to read. She opened my eyes and mind to alot of things I was'nt paying attention to. She tells you what you should do, how to do it and shares her good and bad stories of her experience. If you are a parent struggling with your kid like I am, read this book it will help you a lot and may get you out of the woods.

This was the first book on parenting a child with ADHD that I've read (I've read several) that I enjoyed from start to finish. Penny Williams is down to earth, honest, and literally made me laugh out loud. I got so many practical ideas and advice from this book that I literally had highlights on every page. Highly recommend to any parent with a new or years old diagnosis!!

This was a gift for my friend whose 3 year old son likely has ADHD. She is thrilled by the book-- offering hope and relief of guilt and anxiety starting even with the introduction. The information and concepts are new for her and her husband Ir is written in a clear, compassionate and non-blaming way. It's just the beginning: already the marriage is better - more compassion and mutual appreciation.

I absolutely love this book- it so incredibly helpful, and I really appreciate how the author does not criticize parents who use, or choose not to use, medicine to help control ADHD. She incorporates helpful lists, worksheets, and other sources to help one understand ADHD and its symptoms, as well as helping manage those symptoms. I most definitely recommend this book to someone with ADHD, parents of children with ADHD, and teachers.

Amidst the vitriol and firestorm that can be the debate about ADHD, Penny Williams cuts through it all and helps parents to keep their eye on the prize – their child, and how to support and raise that child the best way possible. She has already researched and road tested much of the information out there on ADHD, and she provides practical and implementable advice, saving ADHD parents time (a thing that we really need!) In particular, her chapters on forming a support network of medical providers and dealing with the school address what are often very stressful and emotional processes for parents and break those processes down into calm steps. Always keeping her humor intact, she has created the starting place for ADHD parents. This can-do American mom approach also would be useful for parents of children outside of the United States who are struggling to piece together support for their children.

I am so thankful that there is a book out there like this one. ADHD is so real and it affects each and every day of our lives. I feel so thankful to have read this book as it is a "real" account of what it is like to be a Mother to a child with this disability. I have read many books on ADHD but I will honestly say I am most thankful for this book. The author has excellent resources for us. She also has experienced it firsthand and everything she has gone through, I have also gone through. It is just so nice to have another Mother that "gets it". It can be isolating at times to have a child that is so different than all the others. One thing the author points out is that there is no cure for ADHD, it can't be fixed but we are still able to assemble a team together to help our children with their ADHD journey. I would HIGHLY recommend this to any Mother, Father or teacher!

Almost done reading this book and I am SO grateful I purchased this book. HIGHLY recommend to any parent with a child or anyone in their life suffering with ADHD.

This is a great nursing school resource. I use this when writing my care Plans, and it has helped tremendously because the rationales are included for most of the interventions.Also, don't take "pocket size" too literally. This is definitely not that conveniently sized.

I'm in nursing school and this book as been helpful finding nursing diagnosis' and has specific interventions. The book has all the usual NANDA diagnosis'. It also has a ton of interventions that you can use as starting points to tailor to your specific patient.

Pocket guide is organized in a way that makes it easy to find exactly what you are looking for. Nsg Dx are labeled by taxonomy and defined. Includes RT, AEB, desired outcomes, interventions are prioritized and include rationals. I prefer it over the Sparks and Taylor's Nsg DX pocket book. The size is small enough to stuff in your bag and carry with you to clinicals. I bought used in Good condition. The book has minimal shelf wear but otherwise is in great conditon. I highly recommend this pocket edition to nursing students.

This book has helped me so much in nursing school! It helps me to write effective care plans with appropriate nursing diagnosis with rationale.

I like this book; however, the term "Pocket Guide" is misleading. I mistakenly thought that it would be small enough to put in a pocket in my scrubs. At about 1½ inches thick… there is no way I could keep this in a pocket.

Just got this little book in the mail, its a nice size, and on first glance, it looks a little difficult to read, but I'm sure I'll understand once I begin my nursing classes.

I have the bigger size, which has more features. ONLY buy this one if you have the other bigger NANDA book. This is a good resource to slip into your bag or even your lab coat during clinical rotations.

This is a complete ripoff, totally dissatisfied. It looks like it was made in someone's basement. Not a single picture or map in it.

Yeah whoops. Should have read all the reviews. It's basically a paperback version of a .txt file. Not what I wanted to buy at all.

Calling this an 'extensive guide's is misleading. Consider this more a collection of quick tips and nothing more than a slightly worse version of an ign walkthrough. Shrine locations are not located as there is no map, and not all shrines are discussed, leaving most of them up to you to either figure out or look up the solution online.On the upside, most of what IS included is factual with few mistakes. If you're looking for a good guide, better to just buy the official one

Terrific guide. Tons of useful tips that seem to cover aspects throughout the game. Use "Search Inside the Book" before you buy if you want to assess whether it's the right kind of book for you. For $3 and considering the amount of information and convenience in it, I would happily recommend the Kindle edition to anybody. Personally I would probably not want the print edition of the book.

I tried to avoid spending $40.00 for the game, This guide try's to help, but there are no maps or instructions how to do things like start a campfire, so I still need to buy the Official guidebook.

Biggest issue is no pictures, images or maps to aid the player. Not user friendly, cheap quality. The image on the cover is grainy and doesn’t even fit on the cover right. You could find all this information in a better format on the internet for free. Will definitely be returning this book.

I loved this book, it gave more than the The Zelda Breath of wild strategy book, it gives more of a insite on game play. So I would recommend to all ages, if u love all Nintendo as I do this book is a must. Thanks 4 taking the time to write.

This book will save you hours when you do your long write-ups for clinicals. I'm the person who never buys textbooks, but for some reason I bought this, and boy am I glad I did! Spend the $10 to buy it and it will help you all through nursing school. Whenever I brought this to clinicals, it would get passed around to help everyone write their nursing diagnoses and outcomes and interventions.Do yourselves a favor, nurses! You won't regret this purchase. :)

I am a nursing student and this was one of my required textbooks. The book is very useful in writing care plans. It is organized by nursing diagnosis and has interventions and rationales for each diagnosis. I have been using the e-book, which is unfortunately a bit slow and annoying to use at times so I decided to purchase a hard copy since I use it often. The book I received was in great condition, almost like new.

My 2-star rating is in reference to the format, not the textbook itself.I try to purchase the Kindle version of as many of my textbooks as possible to limit the load I need to carry to nursing school every day. Some are totally worthwhile. Unfortunately, this text requires quick accessibility for cross-referencing which (somewhat ironically because it's digital) is not easily done in the Kindle format.This is not an attack on the Kindle or the textbook (it's a fantastic book); I simply recommend that if you need this book, you buy the hard copy.

I purchased this textbook to brush up on Nursing Diagnosis correct usage. In my retirement, I have taken a P/T Nursing Instructor position. I carry this text with me to clinical hours to help students understand the concept of Nursing Diagnosis and their usage. Rationales are presented with each diagnosis. Plenty of examples and thorough instructions for usage.

As a nursing student i bought this my first week of clinical advised by my instructor. It was and still is my lifesaver! It not only saves you time but it really helps reinforce your knowledge of care plans. I love that it not only gives you tons of interventions organized by age, condition, etc. but it has rationales. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of going into nursing school or is about to begin or to those who have been nurses for awhile now but rusty on some of those care plan rubrics!

The difference was goals. Lippincott's goals were clear. Nursing students seemed to have difficulty with the goals in Ackley's book.

Simply the best book of its type. Easy to use, simple handy index, and access to EBP interventions for every nursing diagnosis with references. A must for every nursing instructor and I insist my students purchase this. They all love this book and it becomes their most indispensable textbook for their student career.

This book should be a required book for all nursing students. It has saved me hours doing care plans. I did my first two care plans of my first semester of nursing school and it took me hours. Then I searched Amazon for a NANDA approved nursing diagnosis book. I read reviews on several books and decided on this one. So glad I did. While most of my friends are up for hours upon hours completing care plans, I can knock one out in 45-60 minutes with this book.What I like...The first section lists symptoms, problems and medical diagnoses (stroke, depression, Alzheimer's, AIDS, etc) and then lists all the typical nursing diagnoses that can go along with they specific problem.For each nursing diagnosis it lists the definition, defining characteristics, related factors, NOC, and interventionsThe 9th edition is cheaper than the 10th. I have a friend who bought the newer edition and they are almost identical.
