About the Author
John Sherry has been illustrating knots and writing about knots for more than 25 years. His fishing knot illustrations are used in educational programs of many State Fish and Game departments, major tackle manufacturers and sporting goods stores. nice useful, plastic cards, waterproof, shows step by step how to, light weight I keep a set in my backpack, and another set in my hiking and camping backpack as well, low cost & handy to have if you're like me and can never remember how to tie a lot of different knots.
I love that they can be wiped down! Have had them with me getting them filthy with bait & guts,then Lysol wipes good as new. Also folding ring awesome...why don't you make these with different fish& their specs.
The Pro-Knot series plastic cards are a great idea and a great gift for just about anyone.I bought the Pro-Knot Slatwater Edition after gaining an interest in surf fishing. I only have the opportunity to go a few times a year and remembering how to tie the correct knot has always been difficult for me. These little handy waterproof plastic cards are great. I tossed mine into my tackle box and refer to it when needed.The instructions and drawings are easy to follow and make learning new knots easy.I recommend this product to anyone who enjoys fishing. Be sure to check out the other Pro-Knot cards for other hobbies that require knots.
This was a surprise gift to a child who is fanatic about fishing, and he loved it. It arrived yesterday and he spent the evening practicing various knots and constructing different kinds of riggings for weights, lures and hooks. He's very excited about the next fishing trip, and not once did he ask for the iPad. That's what it's all about.
Good item but the knots and be largely found on line at rio etc...look on you tube. The knots do describe the best for each situation and this is tremendously helpful for different line to leader or leader to tippet or tippet to fly knots. After ordering I looked on line and found plenty of videos but having this on hand is helpful on the water.
Awesome! Just awesome! I practice my fishing knots at home and then when I get to the coast and go to tie my knots, I go blank! This is perfect! Waterproof, compact, illustrations are excellent and easy to follow. If you know someone who fishes I high recommend it for them. Would make a great little stocking stuffer.
These laminated fishing knot cards are easy to understand and make great gifts for all ages. I am surprised at how many adults have no idea how to tie any kind of fishing knot.
Good product, but the choice of knots should be more diverse for different situations.
